I took up rug hooking a couple of years ago and was dismayed to find that affordable, high quality beginner kits were almost impossible to locate, even with Google! I love to create my own designs, so I decided to keep track of my materials when I was doing a project and then make up a kit to share with you. I hope you enjoy browsing- come back often because I frequently update my offerings.
My favorite thing to do is the dyeing. I can't really take any credit for what happens in the dye pot- I put the materials in and stand back! Ninety percent of the time I am delighted with the results.
In case you are wondering, the furry children at the top of the page are Kit the corgi and Merle the Australian cattle dog. They like to sneak up and steal wool snippets while I'm hooking my rugs. I am in the process of teaching them how to clean house, but haven't gotten very far...
